Wecome to Risen Christ Lunch Club
The lunch club is open or anyone over 60, people of all faiths or no faith are very welcome.
Many people make their own way to the lunch club using ring and ride and we can recommend some very good taxi drivers. The number 10 bus stops in Blackberry Lane which is the nearest bus stop. We do have our own mini bus which will pick up where possible.
Every year we organise several days out that you can choose to come on and we also arrange a week's holiday to a holiday club near Minehead in Somerset.
An Entertaining Afternoon
If you are interested in coming along for a good meal, a chat, some good entertainment or just a day out, please ring Janet on 024 76 612316 and she will be able to give you more information about the cost for the day and transport. At the moment it is £5.70 per day (meal, drinks, cakes and entertainment) plus £5.00 for transport.
The lunch club is held on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of each week from 10.00am to 4.30pm. On Thursdays at 11.00am there is an EXTEND exercise class that you can take part in, many people are referred to take part in this class by their Doctor to improve their health.
Lunch is served at 12.30 pm and is followed from 2pm with a changing programme of afternoon entertainment starting. The entertainment can be anything from a quiz , bingo, craft, a singer or speaker.
The food is all freshly prepared and home cooked on the premises. The menus include traditional favourites such as roasts with veg, sausage and mash or fish and chips but we are happy to cater for special dietary requirements.
We finish the afternoon with a cup of tea/coffee and a cake.

There is a small charge of £1.00 per session for parent/carer and child, plus 50p for any additional children.
